Energy Vault Builds AI Data Center Campus in Snyder, Texas
Energy Vault has broken ground on an AI infrastructure campus in Snyder, Texas, marking its first foray into the data center business. The NYSE-listed energy storage firm is partnering with Crusoe to deploy modular data centers at the site, with an initial capacity of up to 25 MW of IT load.
The partnership began with a strategic framework agreement signed between Energy Vault (NYSE: NRGV) and Crusoe on February 11, 2026. Under this deal, Crusoe will install its Spark data center modules at Energy Vault's technology center in Snyder.
Energy Vault's role is that of the landlord and power provider, offering modular 'powered shell' infrastructure. The site already houses Energy Vault's Cross Trails battery energy storage system (BESS), which has been delivering power and ancillary services to the ERCOT grid since 2026.
