Enjin Coin Expands Validator Set Amid Blockchain Gaming Push
Enjin Coin has opened a referendum to expand its active Relaychain validator set from 25 to 35 over the next year. This proposal also outlines a review process for further expansion up to 50 validators after the first increase.
The Enjin platform, centered around blockchain and gaming, allows users to engage in social gaming activities through interconnected products. Its functionality enables developers to tokenize in-game items on the Ethereum blockchain, adding real-world value to digital assets.
At the core of the Enjin ecosystem is the Enjin Coin (ENJ), an ERC-20 token used for creating and backing blockchain assets, especially non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The platform's distinctive 'melting' feature allows users to dissolve their NFTs and reclaim the intrinsic ENJ.
