ENS Audit Competition Concludes on September 14th
The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is hosting an audit competition with Immunefi that will conclude on September 14th. As of August 31st, researchers had submitted 306 reports, with 20 confirmed as valid and 56 still under review. This marks a significant milestone in the competition, which aims to identify potential security vulnerabilities in ENS' code.
ENS is an open-source naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain that maps human-readable names to machine-readable identifiers. It has similar goals to DNS but operates with a unique architecture due to the capabilities and constraints of the Ethereum blockchain. The competition will help ensure the security and integrity of ENS, which is essential for its widespread adoption.
The competition's rules and details are available on the official Twitter page of ENS. It is unclear how the findings from this audit competition will be used or implemented by ENS in the future.
