Eole Leads Japan into Hyperliquid Territory with HYPE Token Purchase
Tokyo-listed Eole has become the first Japanese public company to disclose a purchase of Hyperliquid's HYPE token, marking a significant development in Japan's corporate crypto market. The company acquired 1,078.2547 HYPE tokens for $66,002 (¥10.08 million) on July 28.
Eole's investment plan targets a total stake of $611,113 (¥100 million), with the company expecting to increase its position through several purchases by the end of August. The purchase price averaged $57.15 (¥9,352) per token.
The move is part of Eole's 'Neo Crypto Bank' strategy, which aims to develop financial infrastructure for an economy where artificial intelligence agents can make payments and enter contracts. HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, a blockchain network focused on onchain derivatives and trading.
Eole will hold the token alongside Bitcoin as a strategic asset under its 'Neo Crypto Bank' initiative, with the company planning to generate revenue by lending digital assets and hedging price risks through traditional financial markets.
