Eric Trump Dismisses Report of New Donald Trump Cryptocurrency
Eric Trump recently denied reports of his father's plan to launch another cryptocurrency. The claim was made on social media by an account called @WhaleScan, which stated that President Donald Trump was preparing to issue a new token without providing any details or regulatory filings to support the claim.
In response, Eric Trump tweeted 'What a joke… This is absolutely not true. No one is launching any kind of coin.' He also warned that promoters who suggest otherwise are committing fraud.
The denial comes after the launches of two other Trump-branded tokens: $TRUMP and $MELANIA. Eric Trump is associated with World Liberty Financial, which was launched in 2024, and the family has ties to American Bitcoin.
Tron founder Justin Sun remains involved in a dispute with World Liberty Financial over approximately $45 million and around 4 billion frozen tokens. He describes the issue as a broader question of crypto ownership and control, arguing that users should be able to hold and control their assets without needing permission from another party.
