Eric Trump's Crypto Venture Crashes to New Lows
Eric Trump's cryptocurrency venture has hit an all-time low in the stock market. His company, American Bitcoin Corp., was founded last year and had reached a high of $140 per share. However, it dropped to just $6 per share on Wednesday, a 90% plummet from its peak value.
The loss is estimated at around $600 million, based on Eric's retained stake in the company, which is approximately 6%. This significant drop has impacted not only his personal finances but also the Trump family legacy fortune, as much of their business dealings are linked through the Trump Organization.
American Bitcoin Corp. had originally focused on AI infrastructure development, but shifted its focus to cryptocurrency after taking over a data center company co-founded by Eric and his brother Donald Trump Jr. The company's CEO, Mike Ho, believes that the industry's shift towards AI will free up market space for crypto-focused companies like American Bitcoin Corp.
Eric remains optimistic about the future of the company, despite its current struggles. He has encouraged investors to hold onto their investments and believes that the company will recover. In fact, he celebrated the milestone of crossing 8,000 BTC on July 7, stating 'The stacking continues.'
