ETF Inflows Fail to Lift Bitcoin Above $80,000
Bitcoin's price remains below $80,000 despite strong inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs. In the past three weeks, these funds have attracted a total of $3.8 billion, with BlackRock's IBIT accounting for $691.5 million of last week's net inflows.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw their strongest monthly total since September 2025 in August, with $3.52 billion flowing into the market.
Analyst Dominick John from Zeus Research notes that sustained ETF inflows indicate institutions are rebuilding exposure to Bitcoin, creating 'genuine spot demand' rather than relying on leverage-driven speculation.
However, strong inflows do not guarantee an equally strong price move. The cryptocurrency trades in a much larger market where ETF creations are only one source of marginal demand.
