ETF Inflows Streak Ends as Institutional Demand Remains Strong
The streak of substantial inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has come to an end, with a $201.8 million outflow on August 28 marking the first daily withdrawal in nine trading days.
Despite this setback, the inflow totals highlight robust demand among institutional investors, who injected approximately $3 billion into these products between August 17 and August 28.
The previous week had seen even stronger inflows, with Bitcoin funds absorbing about $1.92 billion, their largest weekly total so far this year.
BlackRock's IBIT Bitcoin ETF frequently accounted for a significant share of daily inflows during the streak, capturing about 62% of a $338 million daily inflow when Bitcoin prices traded over $80,000.
