ETH Bear Market Finally Over as Ethereum Price Surges Past Key Resistances
The Ethereum (ETH) bear market has come to an end, according to some analysts. The token's price surged past $2,200, breaking through two key resistances: the psychological threshold of $2,000 and the 200-day exponential moving average.
This sudden uptick in price was likely fueled by short covering, as a significant volume of stop orders for short positions probably sat above these levels. As a result, trading volumes skyrocketed by 484%, with $40 billion worth of ETH exchanging hands during this period. This figure accounts for 14% of the asset's circulating market cap.
The sudden surge in Ethereum's price also had an impact on its short liquidations, which spiked to $3.1 billion in the past 24 hours. Additionally, Ethereum ETFs saw their highest single-day net inflow since October 2025.
