ETH Crowd Sentiment Hits Three-Month Low as Price Rallies 17%
The crowd's sentiment on Ethereum has reached a three-month low as the price rose by approximately 17%.
According to blockchain analytics platform Santiment, Ethereum's crowd sentiment turned sharply bearish for the third time in roughly 30 days on July 24-25. The positive-to-negative commentary ratio fell to 1.089, placing collective social mood at its most pessimistic in three months.
The previous two times this happened, ETH's price rallied by 14% and then 7%. This recent sentiment trough was followed by a 17% gain, bringing the price from the $1,850-$1,900 range to levels more consistent with a recovering market.
Historically, when Ethereum's realized price is below what the average holder paid for their coins, it can lead to both anxiety and eventual capitulation-driven recoveries. The 17% price increase was largely driven by external factors rather than any Ethereum-specific catalyst.
