ETH Holders Flee Exchanges Amid 27% Price Surge
Ethereum holders withdrew 1.4 million coins from centralized exchanges between June 3 and August 27, as the asset's price surged by 27% to $2,528.
The move reduced the liquid supply available for sale on major trading platforms, with Ethereum reserves on exchanges decreasing by 18%, from 7.69 million to 6.28 million units.
This behavior contrasts with Bitcoin holders, who increased their balances on exchanges by 0.25% over the same period.
The outflow of assets from trading platforms toward self-custody solutions and staking contracts has accelerated in recent months, according to analytics firm Santiment.
