ETH Price Surges as Whale Activity Spikes Amid CPI Print
Ethereum's price has been steadily increasing over the past few days, currently trading at around $2,500.
The recent CPI-driven surge carried ETH from roughly $2,433 toward $2,667, and while it may have cooled down, the on-chain footprints left behind haven't disappeared.
Whale activity has picked up significantly since the September CPI print, with transactions above $1M jumping nearly 14% in the aftermath. Additionally, roughly $250M in ETH short positions got liquidated during this move.
The combination of macro tailwind, forced short covering, and rising large-wallet activity is setting up a potentially strong trend for Ethereum.
