ETH Surges 18%, Breaks Above $2K as Bullish Momentum Continues
Ethereum (ETH) has surged over 18% in recent hours, breaking above the $2,000 level and pushing its price to new heights. The sudden uptick is attributed to a combination of factors, including leverage, new investors, supply dynamics, and a breakout from an accumulation pattern.
According to data from Santiment, ETH exchange supply has fallen by 15% in eleven weeks, with approximately 1.15 million coins withdrawn. This decline in supply could be contributing to the price increase.
The surge was also fueled by significant buying pressure from Ethereum Spot ETFs, which added $189.15 million in a single day, the largest single-day buying volume in 10 months. BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale were among the top contributors, with $122 million, $36.54 million, and $16 million invested respectively.
While the current momentum is bullish in the short term, analysts are cautious about predicting a sustained uptrend. To confirm a shift to a bullish market structure, Ethereum needs to break past the $2,500 level, which acts as a recent lower high for the existing bearish market structure.
