Ethena Pay Brings Digital Dollars to Neobank Services via Avalanche
Ethena Pay has launched on Avalanche, bringing digital dollars and blockchain-powered payments into everyday financial activities. The app integrates USDe, Ethena's digital dollar, with traditional banking functions for seamless neobank services.
Avalanche's high-speed, low-cost, and scalable infrastructure underpins the Ethena Pay app, enabling transactions without requiring users to understand blockchain.
Guy Young, founder of Ethena, said 'Avalanche was focused on RWAs (real-world assets) and tokenized assets before almost anyone else.' He added that Ethena Pay plugs into the liquidity and applications already in the Avalanche ecosystem, delivering a simple experience where users never touch DeFi.
The app aims to capture a broader customer base with upcoming updates, including Android support, multi-currency accounts, and availability in the U.S. and EU. This expansion may drive higher transaction volumes on Avalanche's network.
