Ethena Pay's USDe Neobank Goes Live on Avalanche with Digital Dollar Spending
Ethena Pay has launched its USDe neobank on Avalanche, allowing users to hold, send, and spend digital dollars like ordinary cash. The mobile app is live on iOS across roughly 50 countries, with Android access, U.S. and EU availability, and multi-currency accounts expected soon.
The new app combines a traditional-style account with a USDe balance, letting users move between fiat and digital dollars locally and across borders. Core features at launch include instant, free transfers to other app users, live notifications tracking every transfer in real time, automatic daily earnings on USDe balances, and a virtual Visa card generated in under a minute.
Card spending earns cashback paid out in AVAX, the native token of Avalanche, rather than in USDe. Standard users earn 4% on the first $2,500 spent each month, Pro users earn 4.5% up to $8,000, and VIP users earn up to 5% on spending up to $20,000.
The launch marks one of the clearest signs yet that digital dollars are moving out of trading terminals and into ordinary spending habits, with Avalanche providing the settlement layer underneath a familiar-feeling app. Guy Young, Ethena's founder, said Avalanche's early focus on real-world assets and tokenized markets lets the new app plug directly into existing ecosystem liquidity.
