Ethena Price Surges as Fee Switch Vote Looms
Ethena's token price has seen a significant surge in recent days, more than doubling to $0.19 from around $0.08. This increase is not just due to market hype but rather tied to actual structural changes within the protocol, including a planned fee switch vote that would direct 95% of revenue towards buying back $ENA once USDe supply reaches certain milestones.
The token has broken above a key resistance zone around $0.14 to $0.18 and is currently trading at $0.16991. The DMI indicator shows a sharp shift in trend strength, with the ADX line jumping to 46.17 from readings stuck near 20-25 for most of the year.
The fee switch vote would give Ethena's market a confirmed timeline for buybacks tied to USDe growth. Institutional partnership news and the successful publication of the Master Framework Agreement in October could further support the token price, pushing it towards $0.24.
