ether.fi Exits EigenLayer, Uniswap Launches Meme Coin Platform Amid Market Turbulence
ether.fi has started to gradually exit EigenLayer, converting its restaking exposure from weETH to a separate token called weETHs. This new token is built on Symbiotic and will handle restaking functionality. ether.fi's remaining restaking assets within EigenLayer account for less than 1%, but this proportion is expected to drop to 0% in Q3 2026.
Uniswap has launched Pools, a token-launch platform on Robinhood Chain that supports two launch models: Crowd Launch and Instant Launch. This platform delivers features such as autocompounding liquidity, permanent liquidity locking, front-running protection, and optional creator fees. Uniswap notes that the platform targets highly volatile meme tokens and does not endorse or review any of the tokens launched through it.
Lido DAO has announced a vote on the NEST auto-buyback mechanism, which would convert staking revenue above the operational baseline into LDO via CoW Swap. The acquired LDO would be transferred directly to the DAO treasury. Separately, the Lido Alliance BORG has proposed appointing Bryce Howarth as a new director, with the corresponding Snapshot vote open until August 10.
