Ether.fi Expands Neobank with Tokenized Stocks and Metals Trading
Ether.fi has expanded its non-custodial 'neobank' to offer tokenized stocks and metals trading, Aave-powered portfolio loans, and global fiat payments. The upgraded app allows users to buy, hold, and borrow against a variety of assets, including crypto, equities, and commodities.
The platform's CEO, Mike Silagadze, said the goal is to 'bridge the gap between decentralized finance and everyday financial needs.' Ether.fi aims to replace traditional banks for most users and provide tools previously available only to institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
The move comes as major crypto companies like Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, and OKX add tokenized stocks and banking-like features. Ether.fi has a foothold in consumer-friendly payments with over 500,000 users and 150,000 cards issued.
