Ether Gains Ground as Bitcoin ETF Volume Hits Seven-Month Low

Bitcoin ETF trading volume has hit a seven-month low in the US. This comes at a time when Ether is experiencing renewed institutional interest, which could signal a sector rotation.

The weekly trading volume for spot Bitcoin ETFs has reached its lowest level since October 2024. This decline is largely due to a period of volatility compression, where BTC has been trading within a narrow range for several weeks.

Historically, this type of volume trough has preceded repositioning phases, but without a clear trigger, the market appears to be in wait-and-see mode.

Ethereum ETFs are capturing nearly as much in net inflows as their Bitcoin counterparts, despite managing only around one eighth of the assets under management. This dynamic points to renewed institutional interest in Ether, driven by factors such as staking discussions, DeFi use cases, and RWA tokenization.
