Ether Leads Crypto ETF Inflows as Institutions Favor Ethereum Over Bitcoin
The US spot crypto ETFs saw a volatile week of flows, with positive inflows into Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, and Solana products. Ether led the way with $104 million in net inflows, while HYPE funds suffered their second consecutive week of withdrawals.
Blackrock's IBIT lost $95.5 million as institutions favored ether over bitcoin. The fund's outflows suggest that investors are increasingly turning to ether for its appeal beyond price exposure, including activity in stablecoins, decentralized finance, blockchain settlement, and corporate treasury strategies.
XRP ETFs added $8.15 million, while Solana products brought in $7.2 million. HYPE funds continued to struggle, losing $8.61 million in net outflows as low-cost ETFs put pressure on crypto exchanges.
