Ethereum Aims for Oct 6 Glamsterdam Upgrade Despite Testing Hurdles
Ethereum developers have set October 6 as the target date for the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet.
The upgrade, which aims to improve the network's scalability and security, is still facing testing issues, with a private devnet experiencing bugs.
Protocol specialist Christine D. Kim noted that developers agreed to the October 6 date while acknowledging several caveats, including the unresolved testing issues.
The team hopes to reach mainnet before the end of 2026, but the outcome is uncertain due to client implementations not being ready for mainnet yet.
