Ethereum Arbitrage Study Reveals Builders Receive $5.24 for Every $1 Burned
A recent study by blockchain data provider Bitquery reveals that for every dollar burned in Ethereum's network, builders receive approximately $5.24 in receipts over a 30-day period.
The report, which was verified on August 31, 2026, shows that the allocation of this surplus is as follows: 49.3% goes towards block assembly, 9.4% towards burned fees, and 41.3% with trading operators.
This finding highlights the importance of distinguishing between trading activity and holding Ethereum tokens, as payments to builders can significantly impact their earnings.
