Ethereum Breakout Imminent as $300M in ETH Leaves Exchanges

A significant amount of Ethereum (ETH) has left cryptocurrency exchanges in recent days, sparking speculation about the altcoin's next move. According to popular analyst Ali Martinez, over 116,000 ETH were withdrawn from exchanges in just two days, valued at approximately $300 million at current prices.

This reduction in the immediately available supply of ETH could ease sell-side pressure and potentially lead to a breakout above the $2,500 threshold, which Ethereum has been attempting to breach for some time. The analyst notes that while exchange withdrawals do not necessarily indicate accumulation, the timing is intriguing, especially given the asset's current price action.

Martinez believes that if ETH can break through $2,530, the next target would be $2,700. However, a significant supply zone lies between $2,723 and $2,822, where more than 10 million tokens were last transacted. This area could trigger a rejection or slow advance.
