Ethereum Breaks Through $1,900 Threshold Amid Whale Activity
Ethereum (ETH) has continued its upward trajectory, surpassing $1,900 and reaching a price of $1,912 after a 1.95% gain on August 17. This move restored Ethereum above the significant $1,900 threshold, which had previously been a point of support.
The digital asset settled above its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day moving averages, positioning itself for short-term technical bullish activity. However, it still trades beneath its 200-day moving average at $2,009, placing the $2,000-$2,010 range as a crucial resistance zone.
Whale activity played a role in this price increase, with a significant holder withdrawing 5,300 ETH valued at $9.98 million from Kraken. This reduction in available exchange inventory contributed to Ethereum's accumulation narrative.
