Ethereum Bull Flag Points to $3,050 Target Amid Oil Price Uncertainty
Ethereum (ETH) has formed a bull flag pattern after its recent price rebound, which could signal a larger move in the coming days. According to Reuters technical analysis, ETH rallied by around 37% in just 10 days and peaked near $2,564. If this breakout continues, it could lead to a potential target of $3,050.
The target is based on the height of the advance, which points to a significant increase in price if the consolidation breaks out. This region has previously acted as resistance for ETH, making it a familiar level for traders. ETH has already cleared levels that looked difficult only weeks ago, and its relative strength against Bitcoin has been improving.
However, there is still some uncertainty surrounding the breakout. A sustained break below $2,350-$2,360 would invalidate the current flag structure and weaken the case for a push toward $3,050. The bull flag setup has a clear failure point, making it essential to monitor ETH's price action closely.
The recent increase in oil prices above $100 is also adding some risk to the breakout. Higher yields raise the opportunity cost of holding speculative assets, which can pressure valuations across risk markets. However, Ethereum has not broken down yet, and its resilience follows a period of stronger crypto momentum, including the growth of Layer 2 networks processing 94% of ecosystem transactions.
