Ethereum Bulls Eye $2,000 Target Amid Downside Risks
Ethereum price prediction is focusing on a potential breakout to $2,000. Despite this target, there are still significant downside risks, including a possible drop to $1,500. According to Michaël van de Poppe, ETH could break above $2,000 after two months of consolidation, but his outlook depends partly on renewed strength against Bitcoin and the broader business cycle.
A key level to watch is the 0.03 ratio between ETH and BTC, as identified by Daan Crypto Trades. This ratio acts as a confirmation level for a sustained move above recent intraday highs. TradingView data shows that ETH/BTC has remained deeply weaker across longer periods, with a 24% drop over six months and nearly 60% across five years.
On-chain data from Glassnode indicates that Ethereum's aggregated realized price is near $2,240, while spot prices remain roughly 16% below the network-wide holder cost. This gap suggests aggregate unrealized losses despite the rebound from July's lower levels.
