Ethereum Bulls Eye $3,000 Breakout as Price Reclaims $2,500
Ethereum's price has rebounded above $2,500, setting its sights on a weekly close above $2,550 that could propel it toward $3,000, according to analyst Ted Pillows.
The token reclaimed the $2,500 level as short-term support after climbing above $2,480 earlier in the week. This move has Ether back near the $2,550 resistance area, where recent attempts to extend the recovery have been capped.
Pillows noted that a strong weekly close above $2,550 could push Ethereum toward $3,000. He pointed out that the next major hurdle after this level is around $2,800.
The derivatives market has seen increased participation, with Ether's trading volume rising 20% to $40.87 billion and open interest increasing 1.35% to $33.72 billion. This suggests traders are adding positions as the price recovers.
