Ethereum Classic Breaks Through Long-Running Downtrend
The Ethereum Classic price has been stuck in a long decline for over a year, capped by a descending trendline. However, recent market activity suggests that selling pressure is thinning out, and the trendline is finally being sustained above.
This shift has caused the price to behave differently, and the trendline breakout could be genuine rather than just a temporary push through. If Ethereum Classic can close a weekly candle above $12.858, it would confirm the breakout and open up new upside targets.
The next major resistance level is at $25.977, followed by $39.830, which marks the original swing high that started the downtrend. On the downside, a weekly close below $6.069 would invalidate the bullish structure and suggest that the recent trendline breakout has failed.
