Ethereum Consolidates Above $2,400 as August Breakout Strengthens
Ethereum (ETH) has solidified its technical position after its significant August breakout. Since then, it has been consolidating near $2,470 while staying above several crucial moving averages.
The cryptocurrency's price climbed rapidly from approximately $1,900 to breach multiple resistance levels. A notable milestone was breaking through the declining 200-day moving average near $2,159, marking a substantial shift in Ethereum's market structure and strengthening its case for sustained bullish reversal.
ETH is currently trading roughly 14% above its 200-day moving average. The 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) has climbed to around $2,225, reflecting the strength of the recent upward momentum.
The main challenge now is not breaking the broader bearish trend but establishing a stable price structure and preventing the consolidation from developing into a deeper correction. ETH's next major resistance zone sits between $2,500 and $2,550, an area it has tested several times but failed to break convincingly.
