Ethereum Consolidates Below $1,900 Resistance as Hayes Boosts Holdings
Ethereum's price has been consolidating below the $1,900 resistance level, and analysts are now watching for a move toward $2,000. The asset has been recovering from June lows while establishing higher lows during July, but the rally has stalled beneath the $1,900 zone.
Arthur Hayes, BitMEX co-founder, acquired 1,290 ETH worth approximately $2.5 million after transferring funds to Cumberland and FalconX. This purchase adds another example of large investors accumulating the asset near a major technical level, which often attracts additional attention when prices approach important resistance.
The Ethereum network activity remains healthy as new smart contract deployments continue despite recent price volatility. Market analyst Ted Pillows noted that reclaiming $1,900 could trigger a move toward $2,000 in the near term, with the next resistance around the $2,200 region before Ethereum challenges the broader supply zone near $2,400.
