Ethereum Could Reach $6,000 by Year-End if Bitcoin Hits $150,000: Tom Lee
Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine and a well-known Bitcoin bull, shared his thoughts on Ethereum's potential in an interview. He believes that Ethereum could extend its rally through the end of this year due to policy developments and fresh capital inflows.
Lee pointed out four catalysts for Ethereum in the remainder of this year: the possibility that the US CLARITY Act passes in September; the return of over-the-counter short positions and sidelined capital to the market; a reallocation of Asian capital into crypto assets; and heavier crypto buying by global institutional investors under quarterly performance pressure.
If Bitcoin reaches $150,000 and the ETH-BTC ratio recovers to 0.04, Lee predicts that Ether could reach $6,000. He also mentioned that the ETH-BTC ratio could revisit its previous peak of 0.08, which would imply an even higher price for Ethereum.
Lee's long-term view on Bitcoin remains bullish, but he believes that a supercycle of broad asset tokenization and AI agent finance will be the bigger forces shaping the crypto market over the next five years.
