Ethereum Crowd Sentiment Hits Three-Month Low Amid 17% Price Rally
Ethereum's crowd sentiment has hit a three-month low despite a significant price increase of 17% in recent days, according to data from blockchain analytics platform Santiment. This is the third time in roughly 30 days that Ethereum's crowd sentiment has turned sharply bearish, with the positive-to-negative commentary ratio falling to 1.089 on July 24-25, 2026.
The price of ETH proceeded to rally approximately 17%, suggesting the crowd's gloom arrived right on cue to mark a floor. Historically, this kind of sentiment divergence has correlated with crowded short positioning and exhausted selling pressure.
However, Santiment's methodology is probabilistic rather than precise, and the size and duration of subsequent rallies varied in each instance. The price increase was driven largely by external factors rather than any Ethereum-specific catalyst, which makes the sentiment data more interesting, not less.
