Ethereum Defies Long Losing Streak Prediction
Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), predicted Ethereum's strong FOMO in September and into year-end back in August. Since then, ETH has surged over 50%.
Ethereum is on track to snap its first-ever three-quarter losing streak after falling since the fourth quarter of 2025, according to Coinglass data. It had previously fallen by nearly 29% in the fourth quarter, roughly 30% in the first quarter of 2026, and nearly 26% in the second quarter.
Lee expects institutional inflows and a potential CLARITY Act passage to support a strong fourth quarter for crypto. He characterized the downturn as a shallow crypto winter with heavy devaluation.
