Ethereum Defies Odds at $2,500
Ethereum's price has remained steady near $2,500 despite two concerning factors: outflows from U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs and increasingly hawkish expectations for Fed policy.
The U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $24.29 million in net outflows on September 8, ending a two-session streak of positive flows.
This comes as the market becomes more cautious ahead of the September Fed meeting, with CME FedWatch indicating that the probability of a 25-basis-point rate hike rose above 60% following the strong jobs report.
Despite this combination of negative factors, Ethereum has held its ground near $2,500. As of September 9, the price is little changed over the past 24 hours, suggesting that sellers have yet to gain a clear advantage.
