Ethereum Derivatives Market Remains Calm Amid Mixed Sentiment
Ethereum's derivatives market has been calm in recent days, despite mixed sentiment. The Net Taker Volume, which measures the difference between buying and selling volume of market orders in ETH perpetual contracts, shows a mild dominance in short positioning over the past two weeks.
Open interest declined earlier in the week, but funding rates have remained positive, hovering near 0.0044% on Friday. This suggests reduced participation in ETH derivatives despite a tilt toward long-side expectations.
The technical setup of Ethereum also indicates a consolidating market, with price trapped in a tight band between EMAs' support and resistance. The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 51 and the Stochastic around 50 reinforce a balanced, range-bound momentum profile.
