Ethereum Dominates Blockchain Developer Activity, but Declines Widen
Developer activity remains a key indicator of a blockchain's health and long-term sustainability. According to data from Santiment, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Polygon are the top four blockchains in terms of developer activity.
Ethereum leads the pack with 263.3K developer activity events over the past thirty days, followed by BNB Chain with 121.8K events. However, both chains have seen a decline in developer activity, with Ethereum experiencing a 40.29% drop and BNB Chain seeing a 40.72% decrease.
Polygon takes third place with 100.4K developer activity events, but also experienced a 40.85% decline. Arbitrum rounds out the top four with 79K events and a 45.22% dip in developer activity.
At the bottom of the list are Solana, Avalanche, Harmony, Cardano, and Optimism, which have all seen significant declines in developer activity over the past thirty days.
