Ethereum Dominates Tokenized Assets, But Can It Break Its Price Ceiling?
Ethereum has taken the lead in tokenized real-world assets, dominating nearly 45% of the $38.69 billion distributed value as of late August 2026. This dominance is fueled by two largest tokenization platforms, Securitize and Ondo, which are built primarily on Ethereum.
BlackRock's BUIDL fund also launched on Ethereum before expanding to seven other chains, solidifying the network's institutional trust layer.
Despite this success in tokenized assets, ETH is currently trading at $2,360, down 3% in the past 24 hours. The asset has been grinding inside a tight range for the last 48 hours, and traders are waiting to see if it can break its last cycle high of $2,550.
A weekly close above $2,438 would keep the bullish September setup intact and open a path toward $2,800, $2,920. However, a loss of $2,350 could expose the $2,200, $2,000 zone next.
