Ethereum Edges Out Bitcoin in Short-Term Sentiment

Ethereum is currently outperforming Bitcoin in the short-term due to lower social media sentiment, according to Santiment. The ETH/BTC ratio has risen by 32.90% over the past 30 days despite a lack of enthusiasm from crypto traders for buying Ethereum dips compared to Bitcoin.

This 'lack of interest' could paradoxically drive Ethereum prices higher as social chatter around the asset remains less frenzied than Bitcoin's levels. Analysts are increasingly optimistic about Ethereum, with some even revising their price targets upwards amid institutional buying and stablecoin adoption.

Just last week, Standard Chartered increased its 2025 forecast for Ethereum to $7,500, while some traders predict prices could reach $8,500 or higher if Bitcoin reaches the milestone of $150,000. However, it's worth noting that this 'greed spike' in Bitcoin coincided perfectly with its all-time high and local top.
