Ethereum ETF Demand Rebound Fails to Boost Price Amid Challenging Macro Environment
Ethereum's price has retreated slightly after reaching $1,950 earlier this week, currently trading at $1,861, down 1.3%. The decline is part of a broader trend, as both Ethereum and Bitcoin have seen renewed interest from exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Linh Tran of XS.com notes that ETFs are now heading towards a third consecutive week of positive net inflows after a prolonged period of net outflows. In fact, Ethereum ETFs have recorded five straight days of net inflows according to data from CoinGlass.
However, despite this resurgence in investor interest, the macroeconomic environment remains challenging for riskier assets like cryptocurrencies. Tran points out that capital is currently favoring cash, the U.S. dollar, and defensive assets over expanding into the cryptocurrency market.
