New data shows that despite rate fears sparked by Kevin Warsh's signal at Jackson Hole, institutional investors poured $824 million into spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds in the US.

The week ending August 28 saw a total of $924 million flow into Bitcoin ETFs as well, with BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) capturing 69% of that amount at $567 million. This marks the strongest coordinated institutional week for spot crypto ETFs so far in 2026.

The net inflows came alongside a significant accumulation story from BitMine Immersion Technologies, which added 53,501 ether to its treasury in the same period. The company's total holdings now stand at 5,901,112 ETH, valued at approximately $14.8 billion and representing around 4.9% of all circulating ether.

The increased demand has sparked discussion about the implications for Ethereum's price trajectory. While some analysts argue that the asset's staking yield offers a carry return not available in Bitcoin, others note that the supply dimension may be narrowing due to increased staking and locked-up tokens.
