BlackRock's ETHA Ethereum ETF led the pack in August, recording $8.76 billion in total assets and attracting $185 million in daily inflows on August 21.

The Ethereum spot ETFs saw a net influx of $1.06 billion throughout the month, despite the asset struggling to hold above $2,500. Grayscale's ETHE reported $61 million in net outflows on August 2, but the demand remains uneven.

Although the price rallied by 36.4% in just twenty-five days, Ethereum is still trading at 50.5% below its all-time high of $4,951.66 reached in August 2025. The US August Consumer Price Index report is scheduled for September 11, which may impact market sentiment.

The liquid float has been reduced due to approximately 32% of the total circulating supply being locked in staking, with a BlackRock SEC filing reporting an activation queue of roughly 4 million ETH as of February 5, 2026. Standard Chartered estimated that Coinbase's Base alone removed approximately $50 billion from Ethereum's market capitalization by diverting transaction fees from the mainnet.
