Ethereum ETFs Break Record, Pulling in Over $1 Billion in August Inflows
Ethereum's institutional moment has finally arrived, and it's being driven by a surge in demand for Ethereum ETFs. In a single day on August 5, these funds pulled in $60.86 million, adding to their cumulative net inflows of between $12 billion and $13 billion since they launched in July 2024.
BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) is dominating the market, accounting for an estimated 47% to 72% of recent category inflows. Its assets under management are estimated to be between $6.5 billion and $8 billion.
The $60.86 million day was relatively quiet compared to what followed later in August. The Ethereum ETFs went on a nine-to-ten-day streak of consecutive net buying that totaled over $1.42 billion, with single-day inflow peaks exceeding $225 million.
