Ethereum ETFs Outshine Bitcoin Funds in July Despite Modest Gains
After two consecutive months of heavy losses, Bitcoin spot ETFs finally saw some relief in July. However, their net inflows remained modest at $172.42 million for the month.
The last week of July was particularly rough for BTC funds, with investors pulling out over $265 million on a single day - Friday. Despite this setback, the overall trend for Bitcoin ETFs in July turned positive, following significant losses in May and June of nearly $7 billion.
Ethereum's performance was more impressive, however, with net inflows totaling $365.17 million in July. This figure outpaced Bitcoin ETF flows by over two times and contributed to ETH's major resurgence in July, which saw the asset rise by 20% - its best monthly performance in a year.
While July marked an improvement for both BTC and ETH funds, investors remain cautious given August's historically poor track record for Ethereum. Nevertheless, there are some notable exceptions where ETH has seen significant gains in August.
