Ethereum ETFs Surge as Bitcoin Loses Steam
Ethereum spot ETFs took in $216 million on September 11, while Bitcoin's spot ETFs lost money for a fourth straight day. XRP's spot ETFs traded $36 million without creating or redeeming any shares.
The sharp reversal from the week before when Ethereum spot ETFs saw a $24 million outflow to this week's inflow of $216 million is notable. Ether, the underlying asset, rose 3% on the day.
BTC spot ETFs took in $986.9 million the week ending September 4 but have since seen four straight days of outflows, with a net loss of $13.29 million on Friday. The category is now about $1 billion short of break-even for 2026.
XRP's spot ETFs had zero net flows despite trading $36 million, suggesting immature fund infrastructure rather than weak demand. XRP itself is down 26.19% since January 1.
