Ethereum ETFs Surpass Bitcoin, Can ETH Price Defend $2.5K?
Spot Ethereum ETFs have outperformed Bitcoin ETFs in recent weeks, indicating a shift in institutional demand towards ETH. According to trading data, spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $216 million in net inflows on September 11, while spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $13 million in net outflows.
The divergence between Ethereum and Bitcoin products has coincided with a period of relative strength in ETH price, which climbed to $2,600 this week. Analyst Daan Crypto Trades noted that the current move remains a healthy retest as long as the $2,500 level holds, aligning with the top of the candle bodies and a high-volume node.
Experts expect ETH to significantly outperform Bitcoin over the next few months, with analyst LAR7 Crypto highlighting Ethereum's dominance (ETH.D) and total market capitalization (TOTAL3) as key areas to watch. The ongoing move is viewed as a positive factor for ETH, and the analyst expects the cryptocurrency to outperform Bitcoin in the coming months.
The short-term setup now depends on whether Ethereum can stabilize around the $2,500 area and rebuild upside momentum. If the price can hold above this level, it could be a strong indication that the recent upside was not just a liquidity grab.
