Ethereum Exchange Balances Plunge 10% as Bitcoin Sees Influx
Ethereum balances on centralized exchanges have dropped by about 10% as more ETH is moved to staking or self-custody wallets. In contrast, Bitcoin experienced a significant influx of around 28,000 BTC back onto exchanges over the past three weeks.
This divergence in holder behavior highlights distinct approaches between Ethereum and Bitcoin holders. While Ethereum investors favor staking and self-custody, Bitcoin holders have been depositing coins on platforms like Binance.
Analysts warn that these shifts in exchange balances do not necessarily guarantee price changes, as other market factors such as ETFs and macroeconomic conditions also come into play.
