Ethereum Eyes $2,000 Breakout as Buyers Absorb Selling Pressure

Ethereum's price is hovering just below $1,900 as investors wait for another attempt to break above the key $2,000 resistance level. The second-largest cryptocurrency has been on a steady recovery path since rebounding from its June capitulation lows, consistently forming higher lows and reinforcing the bullish structure.

Despite struggling to overcome significant technical barriers, Ethereum continues to trade comfortably above its rising 20-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at around $1,845. The limited pullback following a rejection at the 100-day EMA near $1,930 is viewed as a positive sign, suggesting buyers are absorbing selling pressure rather than exiting positions.

A decisive close above the 100-day EMA could pave the way for a move toward the psychological $2,000 level. Beyond that, the 200-day EMA near $2,175 remains the next major resistance and a critical level that could signal a stronger long-term trend reversal if reclaimed.
