Ethereum Foundation Adds Privacy Advocate to Board
The Ethereum Foundation has announced the appointment of pcaversaccio to its board of directors. Pcaversaccio is well-known in Ethereum circles for his contributions at the intersection of developer tooling, security, and privacy.
As a longtime contributor to Ethereum, pcaversaccio has worked on various projects, including the Create2Deployer tool published on July 16. He also provided input on the EF's treasury policy established in June 2025.
Pcaversaccio is not only a technical expert but also a privacy advocate. He co-founded SEAL 911, an emergency security response initiative that provides rapid assistance when protocols are exploited. Additionally, he authored the Ethereum Cypherpunk Manifesto, which articulates a vision of Ethereum rooted in the original cypherpunk ethos of privacy and individual sovereignty.
The appointment of pcaversaccio to the board is seen as a significant move by the EF, which has been undergoing changes in recent times. The foundation has seen co-executive directors depart, cut 20% of its staff, and enacted a strategic pivot that concentrated resources into a more focused 'Protocol' division.
