Ethereum Foundation Bolsters Governance with New Board Member

The Ethereum Foundation has appointed pcaversaccio to its board of directors as a volunteer for one year, effective July 29, 2026. This addition brings the total number of members to four: Vitalik Buterin, Aya Miyaguchi, Patrick Storchenegger, and pcaversaccio.

pcaversaccio is a security specialist with expertise in cybersecurity and code auditing. They co-founded the SEAL 911 initiative, which provides rapid response to critical smart contract security incidents, and previously served on the advisory group of the Silviculture Society.

The Ethereum Foundation aims to strengthen technical oversight and institutional governance through this appointment. The board's responsibilities include reviewing senior management operational decisions and assessing ecosystem risks. pcaversaccio's contribution will focus on evaluating whether executive team decisions align with long-term security priorities.
