The Ethereum Foundation has appointed Pascal Caversaccio, co-founder of crypto security response group SEAL 911, to its board. This move comes as the organization prioritizes privacy and security in its strategy.

Caversaccio joins President Aya Miyaguchi, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, and Swiss counsel Patrick Storchenegger on the four-member board for an initial one-year term. He is a longtime contributor to Ethereum and member of the Foundation's Silviculture Society.

The appointment reflects the EF's growing focus on protecting user data and ensuring compliance with its values as a Swiss foundation. The organization views privacy and security as 'non-negotiable protocol guarantees', stating that its team will work to translate research into changes preserving Ethereum's self-sovereignty.
